Vintanthromodern: A New Haven Gem

Vintanthromodern is a gorgeous gem of vintage clothing and items. It's beautifully curated by owner Melissa Gonzales. Not only do they have vintage Lilly Pulitzer or local patches, scarfs and pocketbooks from a time long gone but also modern gifts like cards and candles. Being in Vintathromodern, I was overtaken by the beauty of all the vintage items. The boutique is so colorful and inviting. Each little corner is a treasure chest of items - often homemade and often locally made in Connecticut. Every display brings you in and makes you pay attention to each little beautiful, quirky detail. 

Each rack of clothing was like stepping into another decade. I spotted a gorgeous vintage Lilly Pulitzer dress, an old Dinner Party Cook Book that reflects the dinner party craze of the 70s,  a vintage Whiting Davis bag that is perfect for love letters and a classic red lipstick, and sunny yellow clip on earrings that I had to have. Melissa was helpful and cheerful. I will absolutely be back again. It is located on 938 State Street in New Haven.
