Vintage Hollywood Inspired Bathing Suits

It's November in New England and it's cold, windy and raw. Not ideal bikini weather, to say the least. Seeing all the swimsuits online for sale, though, has me abuzz with warmth and excitement. Are you going on a honeymoon? Are you going on vacation some place tropical and fun (take me!) to sip on fruity drinks and run through white sand beaches? Or do you live somewhere that is actually warm? Well I found some fantastic vintage-inspired bathing suits - shades of Marilyn and Bardot and Esther Williams. It might be November in New England but it's always time to bring out Vintage Hollywood. 

I'm swooning over this flouncy polka-dot halter top with a high wasted black bottom. It screams - no it purrs - elegance and Old Hollywood sleekness. I can picture a blonde ingenue in this smiling into the camera. Or an established film actress wearing this looking ever bit chic and fabulous. 

This deliciously red and ruched one piece is sensational. I can picture a curvy Sophia Loren or Jayne Mansfield looking every part Hollywood sex symbol yet being secretly super comfortable in this bathing suit. 

I wish it was summer here or that I was going on vacation or I'd snag this killer floral bathing suit. The halter, ruching and high waisted bottom are all so retro yet it still translates well into modern fashion. It's elegant and reminds me of something Grace Kelly may don on a fancy beach. 

This Bathing Beauty One Piece by the iconic Esther Williams features low-cut legs, side ruching, and a retro fit that stuns on any body type. This has a lovely, vintage Hollywood vibes and you can splash in the waves looking like a modern day Esther.
