The Sweet Glow from ESANA MedSpa
Confession: I’m in my thirties and never had a facial until this past Wednesday.
I have scrolled through various spa websites to see what unique facials they offer but never went through with it. I felt like facials were for the rich and luxurious. Yet, I’ve spent an obscene amount of money on luxe facial products ensuring me everything but the moon. I have a vanity full of creams, serums, mists and all sorts of expensive odds and ends that end up getting shoved aside for the newer, prettier product. Realizing I was wasting money and buying products that I wasn’t quite sure were right for me, I decided to take the plunge.
I did my homework on ESANA Plastic Surgery Center and MedSpa . Their reputation and dedication for bringing the highest aesthetic care to their clients is top notch. They offer a full spectrum of treatments from facials, to non-invasive lasers to injectables to plastic surgery. I liked their welcoming and professional approach. They have two offices - one in New Haven and one in Guilford. The Guilford one is so close to me, it made it an easy choice but I know I would’ve traveled much further for their top of the line service and results.
Lisa Sherwood was my aesthetician and she was extremely warm and knowledgeable. She knew exactly what facial I needed and what would bring out my natural glow. The pick: Esana Signature Hydraglow Facial. Through out the process, Lisa let me know what my skin was really like - very fair, very sensitive, I had dry skin and some rosacea. It’s a relaxing facial and she kept me blushing and laughing saying I had a face of an angel! How sweet is she?
The Esana Hydraglow Facial is their own unique mask that enhances hydration, skin plumping and leaves you with a clean, glowing complexion. There’s a double cleanse, then steam with exfoliation (which felt so heavenly!), extractions, pressure point facial massage, and then the Hydraglow facial mask is applied! Hydraglow serum is lathered into the skin and for the final touch - a smooth SPF Moisturizer.
My skin felt so clean and glowing. I felt refreshed. This is what they mean about self care. Not only was it relaxing but it was empowering to finally learn about my skin type and how to properly treat it. Lisa customized a treatment program for me from the ESANA line that I could use at home so I could continue feeling all silky like a spring rose!
I can’t wait to book my next appointment, I felt like I was walking on clouds and my skin was kissed by the petals of lilies!
