A Day in a Vintage Garden Dress
I love the glamour and grace of yesteryear. There's something so romantic and lovely and enchanting about the days of yore. This must be why I love vintage houses and vintage dresses for all the elegant details and thoughtful touches.
I found this wonderful Vintage Blue Print Wrap Dress and paired it with earrings from Marissa T Designs. In my own backyard in June, I felt transported to the 40s with dress sleeves I could picture Veronica Lake sauntering in with that peek-a-boo blonde hair style of hers.
I love dresses that may be modern but harken back to days of yesteryear. They make me want to explore abandoned mansions full of teacups and lace and dried roses. It makes me want to sit in the cool shade reading Jane Austen and feeling every word in my heart. It makes me want to write poetry and dance and read. I want the day to never end in my pretty blue dress and handmade earrings and think of the fast approaching summer and all the roses and all lilies and the books I've yet to get my hands on.
