CT Bloggers take West Hartford

Winter Monday nights usually mean leaving work in the darkness (just like the way you drove into work – in the dark). Eat, work out, shower, sleep. This past Monday there was a lot of velvet, plaid, Christmas ruby red, and sparkling dresses that sparkled in West Hartford.

The Connecticut Blogger Babes, founded by the inspiring and wonderful Nonee had a Holiday Soiree at Flora. Flora is a full service restaurant and bar with a unique plant based menu & juice bar and regular bar with organic, tasty alcoholic delights.

I loved hearing different ways these bloggers connect to their audience. What I took from it was keeping it authentic, keeping it you. A consistent theme is important and videos are important.

I had a great time meeting new bloggers – Jenna Leeann, Tushe (who has her own gorgeous online boutique), Logan Porter, Nicole Charles of The Green Robe, Abigail Marie, Yuslendy of Madison Lashes and a ton more.  I also saw some lovely familiar faces including Kelsey Lynn Barlow, PT of Phashion Therapy, Juliette and many more!  Sandra from The Rustic Life stayed behind and gave a couple of us bloggers some amazing, funny and wise gems. She's terrific.

The food was AMAZING and I had a great pomegranate cider ale that was incredibly tasty. I dressed up in a vintage teal dress that reminded me of Dynasty and pulled my hair to the side with a decorate clip I got from Rite Aid (it looks so vintage!). I wore this fantastic bag from ModCloth that completed the look I was going for – vintage inspired and festive.

Going to an event with 50+ people, most who I don't know was quite overwhelming at first. You do have to navigate alone and find people who make you feel at home. And I did and I'm so thankful. I'm grateful for CT Blogger Babes for another fantastic event!
