Heartfelt Favorites of July
We are in the sweetheart of summer! July makes me think of those warm nights, beach days and that fun, free feeling that summer provides.
Here are my favorite things this month!
Lobs
I love lobs (long bobs) because they provide a bold change that is still romantic and feminine without the huge commitment of a shorter style and less of a hassle than longer hair. There are so many different cuts and ways to style the Lob too! I love this wavy look from Olivia Culpo. Check out more Lob looks here.
Bardot Style
Summer calls for casual style and fashion icon Brigitte Bardot perfected this look many moons ago. A bit messy, undone yet chic and dreamy - her classic style is still emulated today. Headbands, some white sunnies, and beachy waves are just some fun looks to adopt! Photo credit and more style tidbits from Erika Femrite.
Podcasts
I’m late to the party, but I just fell in love with podcasts. Whether it’s like minded sober women or learning coping skills for anxiety, podcasts have been a great tool for everyday living. I highly recommend Girl Kind podcast which has a plethora of topics for young women.
Collage Art
Collage Art is such a fun and funky way to add some serious gorgeous aesthetic to your blog, pinterest and instagram. Pinterest is a treasure trove of these feminine and dreamy graphics. I love this one by Tezza.
Stony Creek, CT / Walking by the Water
One thing I realized in my journey of quitting alcohol and learning to deal with my anxiety with less and less prescribed medicine is how being outside and walking around helps. I truly love the sweet seaside community of Stony Creek, Connecticut. It’s amazingly refreshing and my happy place. It’s important to have those happy places to ground you, to inspire you, to help you breathe a little easier.
