Westville Art Walk 22

Westville is a treasure of artists, entrepreneurs, visionaries and a vibrant section of New Haven that is driven by community and the arts.

Friday May 10th kicked off their 22nd Annual Artwalk with a beer garden, live music and fashion show! The Beer Garden had an array of brews from local companies such as East Rock Brewery, New England Brewery, Rhythm Brewery and Brew Haven. The Fashion show featured Threads by Tea. On their website their mission statement is “wearable art - handcrafted with the to empower and enlighten”. The show was accessorized by Melissa Gonzales of the vintage heaven known as her boutique Vintanthromodern! Live music by Chrissy Gardner and then a performance by Broken Umbrella Theater. The DG of the night was DJ Dooley.

On that following Saturday, I got a chance to enjoy the sunshine and all the art, music and fun that Westville has to offer! There were tours, interative arts & demos, live music, open studios & gallery shows. There were Artisan Booths (one of my favorites was the local talent Kate Stephen featuring her gorgeous jewelry) and Food Trucks. I loved how the community came together for this artwalk - it was incredible to be a part of!
