Denim and Mimosas

Denim and Mimosas

Sunday, September 23rd. An elegant brunch was held in the chic patio of Barcelona wine bar in West Hartford. The hostess - none other than Sandra from The Rustic Life. I love Sandra’s passion for life and that trickles into everything she talks about and gets involved in - blogging, fashion, makeup, flowers, home decor and on Sunday - denim jeans fit for all shapes and sizes. There’s something poetic and beautiful of seeing someone talk about their passion and that’s how it felt listening to Sandra speak of Democracy jeans. Democracy’s jeans fit a wide array of shapes and sizes which is a breath of fresh air in a world that wants to serve you a One Size Fits All for everything.

I brought my mom as a plus + 1 and she, too, received a pair of jeans and got to enjoy the excitement . We enjoyed a beautiful brunch with rustic decor and gorgeous blooms from Sandra’s Flower Studio creating a relaxing, feminine aesthetic.

Fun fact: I haven’t owned a pair of jeans for maybe 3, 4 years. I found them uncomfortable and I started buying clothes I could wear to work and also at home or after work. Democracy Jeans has a fit for everyone and I loved how they hugged my hips but also were long enough since I’m on the taller side. My mom is petite and her jeans looked perfect for her shape. I met up with Nonee from Nonee’s World, Naomi Perk and met many other CT bloggers coming together for a wonderful brunch and fantastic jeans. It was nice to get together and laugh and talk and try on jeans that are both flattering and comfortable.
