Collaboration with Touch of Tushe & Touchstone: A Retro Flair

Collaboration with Touch of Tushe & Touchstone: A Retro Flair

Sunday I collaborated with Atushe who owns and operates the online boutique Touch of Tushe who dressed us in her latest styles, Stacie Hoyt who's an independent consultant for Touchstone Crystal and blogger beauty and photography extraordinaire Nicole Morley of Nicole in Colour. Touch of Tushe is an online boutique based in Seymour, Connecticut. It was great collaborating and coming up with ideas with fellow local ladies.

I set out wanting to show off my own authentic style with Touch of Tushe. I absolutely love vintage and vintage inspired clothing but the truth is you can shop at most boutiques and with the right accessories and hair style you can make it look like a style that Gene Tierney, Marilyn Monroe or Jane Birkin would approve of. With a couple of my own accessories, vintage props and jewelry from Stacie it was easy to transform the gorgeous pieces from Touch of Tushe with a vintage flair.

The most important element with modern clothes and changing it to a vintage inspired style is the silhouette. Many of Touche of Tushe had a 90s and 70s vibes and classic silhouettes so it was incredibly easy to work with. I fell in love with this grey sweater dress that was soft, warm and oh so feminine. I wanted a retro Parisian vibe and with this angora black and pearl beret, black leggings and lace boots from Atushe it was easy to create this look. Flowers and the old time charm of down town Seymour only enhanced the style I imagined. Stacie added just the right sparkle with this Spire Pendant and tri-wrap bracelet. Nicole took some great shots that captured the beauty of our location.

My first dress I picked to showcase was this gorgeous, blue velvet dress. It was slinky and reminded me of Sirens of yesteryear. Atushe has an amazing vanity that reminded me Marilyn. Stacie added an Antique Gala necklace and this halftime bracelet to add some golden, antique looking vibes.

I had an amazing time with all three of these ladies! I wanted to share some more shots of Atushe, Nicole and I donning Touch of Tushe fashion, Stacie's jewelry and some vintage props! Be sure to check out Nicole's amazing, vibrant and unique blog, Touch of Tushe boutique and Stacie's Touchstone website for inspiration and style you will fall in love with.
