The Slowness & Beauty of a Spring Morning
As I mentioned on this blog before, we had a prolonged winter here in Connecticut. It wasn't too harsh but it just seem to linger around a little too long to the point where you still saw snow and were wearing coats in the beginning of April.
Then, Spring decided to open her pale pink eyes and long eyelashes up, skyward. I picture Spring as a goddess - hair made out of blonde and gold and silk, wearing a watercolor dress made out of the lightest fabrics that shimmer and change color with each move. I picture her resting and eventually wandering around and breathing life into the air, into the trees, into the soil. I picture her wearing a crown of pink and lavender and magnolia and turquoise flowers.
I love basking in Spring's glory and beauty. I love the slowness of a sunny Spring morning.
